Ge Jiean — Architecture Portfolio

Rows of white stadium seats facing the sea beneath a lighting truss, black and white

Preface

To me, architecture is a way of reading the world — and a means of writing my questions back into it.

I see it not as an end, but as a tool for observation, a medium for translation, and a space for conversation. Across these projects, I am not seeking final answers. I am practicing how to read closely, frame gently, and build in a way that lets life continue the story.

About

I study architecture at Zhejiang University of Technology (B.Arch, five-year program, 2021–2026) and spent spring 2025 at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design. My work moves between heritage, ecology and the everyday — from a timber chapel on the cliffs of Cape Espichel to a scaffold tea pavilion built by hand in Anji.
